This app allows merchant to hide express checkout payment methods like PayPal, Apple Pay, etc. at the checkout information step. Customer still can select Paypal at the payment selection step. Some customers when they see the express checkout payment methods when initiating checkout, they might think those are the only options and might bounce if they don't have it. By hiding those methods, you can potentially reduce checkout abandonment.
